At Atlanta Children’s Day Shelter, we are dedicated to supporting families facing homelessness. Since 1986, we have served over 5,000 families and cared for nearly 8,000 children. Our logo, featuring two interlocking gears, symbolizes our belief that generations are interconnected.

Our Strategic Plan
Over the past 38 years, Atlanta Children’s Day Shelter has centered families facing homelessness. Each day, our staff works alongside our families, helping them to reach self-sufficiency—to build the life they desire.
Through this process, we’ve reflected on those 38 years, leveraging our legacy as a cornerstone to building our vision of the future. As an organization, we wanted to look ahead and revive our vision for what could be with our past serving as a guide.
