Legacy Builders Celebrations Launches 40 Years of Impact
For 40 years, the Atlanta Children’s Day Shelter has been a place of safety, learning, and stability for children and families during life’s most uncertain moments.
The Legacy Builders Celebration brought together community leaders, philanthropic partners, and champions who believe in investing with intention — where philanthropy is guided by purpose and impact is rooted in heart.
This milestone was more than a celebration. It was a shared commitment to help keep the gears turning for Atlanta’s children.
What a night. What a legacy. What a statement of community.
Because of this incredible community, we not only unlocked the $40,000 Junior League of Atlanta match, we helped raise more than $90,000 to support therapeutic services, early childhood education, and family stability programs for children and families experiencing homelessness.
The evening featured powerful moments from keynote speaker Jay Bailey, inspiring reflections from former parent Stephanie, and heartfelt reminders of the Day Shelter’s deep roots in Atlanta’s civic and philanthropic community, including the continued leadership of the Junior League of Atlanta and civic volunteer Ann Cramer. Special thanks to Condace Pressley for serving as our emcee and helping guide this meaningful celebration.
For forty years, the Atlanta Children's Day Shelter has helped children and families build pathways toward stability, healing and hope. And were's just getting started!
As we celebrate this milestone year, we invite the community to continue being part of the story through volunteering, advocacy and giving.
Together, We are Building Pathways, Building Hope.
