Honoring the Heart of Our Families: A Mother’s Day Celebration to Remember!

A few weeks ago, we had the joy of celebrating some of the most important people in our community—mothers. These women are the heart of so many of the families we serve, and it was our privilege to create a space where they could feel seen, celebrated, and cared for.

With the generous support of A Celebratory Story, we hosted an afternoon that blended relaxation, creativity, and heartfelt connection. The highlight? A custom Hat Bar where each mom got to design her own piece—something as unique and beautiful as she is. Add in soothing massages, delicious food, and thoughtful touches throughout, and the day became more than just an event. It was a moment to pause and pour into the people who so often pour into others.

While the grown-ups enjoyed a little time to unwind, our little ones were just as busy—elbow-deep in paint, paper, and glue. Their mission? To create gifts filled with love and personality. Through texture play, color exploration, and a fair bit of joyful mess-making, the children crafted cards, flowers, and handmade treasures just for Mom. It wasn’t just about the end result—it was about the pride on their faces as they shared their creations.

The entire week was filled with small moments of joy: laughter around the table, quiet smiles during a massage, a child proudly presenting their handmade card. These are the kinds of moments that remind us why we do this work.

Mother’s Day may be one day on the calendar, but our appreciation for the strength, resilience, and love of the mothers we serve lasts all year long. We’re so grateful to have shared this celebration with them—and to continue walking alongside them every step of the way.
