Knowledge Is Walking!
It’s always exciting when one of our infants takes their first steps—but it’s even more special when it happens a little early!
Recently, our preschool team saw that one of our little ones, Knowledge, was showing all the signs that he was ready to walk. His curiosity, determination, and growing strength were clear indicators that his big moment was just around the corner.
Rather than wait and see, our team jumped into action and partnered closely with Knowledge’s mom to help give him that extra boost. Together, they made sure he had the right shoes to support his growing feet and coordinated daily hallway strolls to build his confidence and coordination. With lots of encouragement, cheers, and a few wobbly steps, Knowledge found his rhythm and his stride.
When asked about his progress, his teachers shared with a smile, “Ms. Kim and Ms. Adrian are very proud of him—and Zoom Zoomy! He’s throwing those shoulders back and walking right into Toddler 1!”
Now, he’s officially on the move and ready for his next big adventure: transitioning into our Toddler 1 classroom! We’re so proud of him and grateful to be part of this important milestone. At Atlanta Children’s Day Shelter, it’s not just about walking, it’s about walking together, every step of the way.
