Welcoming Our 2 New Directors!
Here at the Day Shelter, we’ve got some new faces!
Barbara Blalock
Director of Early Childhood Education
Meet Barbara Blalock, our new Director of the Early Childhood Education Program at the Atlanta Children’s Day Shelter! Originally from sunny Phoenix, Barbara joined us in early 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership and early childhood education. Before coming here, she founded Treasures 4 Teachers, where she developed innovative programs and initiatives to support educators. Barbara is all about creativity and connection, having launched a mobile program and a social enterprise thrift store. With her impressive track record and a heart full of passion, we’re thrilled to have her lighting up our early childhood programs!
